Chrome Remote Desktop

To set up remote access to your computer pls do the following on the computer you want to remote into.

HOST COMPUTER – Computer you want to remote INTO
1. You will need chrome browser

If you haven’t already downloaded chrome pls download from this link:

https://www.google.ca/chrome/
2. You will need a Gmail account.

If you haven’t got one, pls make one here

https://accounts.google.com/signup

Stay signed in.
3. Pls download Chrome Remote Desktop on the computer you want to REMOTE into.

Download here: https://remotedesktop.google.com/

Click the download ARROW in the “SET UP REMOTE ACCESS” section.

Now click “Add to Chrome” to add “Chrome Remote Desktop” Extension to your Chrome.
Click “Add Extension”

If you see “Turn on Sync” you can exit that. You should not sync if its a work computer.

Click “Accept & Install”
Click Yes

Give your computer a name eg” Work Desktop”

Click “NEXT”

If you see “Save password?” click NEVER

Enter you PIN.

This will be your pin that you use to get into your computer from eg Home etc.
Re-enter your PIN again and make sure its the same.
Click START

That’s it for this computer!

REMOTE COMPUTER – Computer you want to remote in FROM.
On your remote computer do the following

1. You will need chrome browser

If you haven’t already downloaded chrome pls download from this link:

https://www.google.ca/chrome/

Sign into your Gmail account.

Click here
https://remotedesktop.google.com/access/

You should now see your computer that you set up eg at work.

Click on the computer icon.

Now enter the PIN you created.

Click the ARROW

You should now see your HOST computer!

On the right hand side you will see and Arrow in the middle of your screen.
Pls click it and click FULL SCREEN in the menu that pops out.
